Experience open forests, woodland and even a warm temperate rain forest through bushwalking and biking tracks

Pack your joggers, camera and an esky of snacks for a day trip with Mother Nature out at the Bargo River. The Bargo River State Conservation Area is popular for bushwalking, mountain bike riding and exploring / picnicking at Cave Creek. A short walking track leads from the day-use picnic area to a sandstone cave through which a stream runs, exiting into a shallow gorge surrounded by a stunning rainforest.

Visitors will experience open forest, woodland and even a warm temperate rain forest all within the bounds of the Bargo River State Conservation Area. Adventurers will also come across a number of significant species of native flora and fauna, some of which are rare and endangered.

The Bargo River is located at Hilltop, under an hour’s drive from Western Sydney and 1.5 hours from Sydney City.
